bleh

well, today was odd. I went to breakfast with Brent, who was kind enough to buy my Vegan Morningstar dish at Studio One (mmmm, tempeh, so good.... and potatoes... my Irish ancestors are smiling...), then we drove around and did his last-minute errands before he leaves for Hawai'i. It's beginning to sink in that I may very well never speak to this boy again, which will suck, because it's been the norm to see him when I least expect and most need it. Hrm...

After that, I went home and slept, because last night I was up late-ish talking on the phone... Rudely awakened by my sister talking loudly on the phone with her mate, Jess. I'm not surprised, really- she's my sister, and I talk loudly on the phone, so it makes sense that she does as well, because apparently we're more alike than two people should be, even if they share genetic traits.

Stopped by Kyra's birthday party while the family was frying up slabs of flesh on the barbecue (every day I become more vegetarian, and it amazes me. I don't expect you to be, but I am, so there). Tasty guacamole, vegan enchiladas, and it was good to see her before I disappear from the vortex of doom that is Eugene.

Ok, enough of that, here's what I wish I had done today: I would've woken up on the beach in Florence, scared a few tourists by jumping out from behind driftwood at them when they came looking for a place to romp (mean, I know, but people make some funny noises when they're really startled)... eaten waffles at a certain house on 8th street, then either gone back to the beach for a search for stones or gone sandboarding... it was surprisingly fun, even if I had better luck just sledding down. Balance, it is not so much something I possess in abundance. Red hair, yes, but the ability to remain upright while sliding down a mountain of sand while strapped to a thin piece of wood, no.

ok, done with this, I'm going to go have a meaningful chat with my cock(atiel). hehehe... wow, I'm tired. Cheers!
